Marinated Flank Steak
1 lb. flank steak
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce or tamari
2 cloves of garlic minced
1 tbsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. lime juice
Whisk all the ingredients together in a bowl to make the marinade except the steak. In a zip top bag add the steak and marinade. Move it around so all the steak is coated. Allow the steak to marinate for 2-3 hours to overnight. On a grill or grill pan cook the steak for 3-5 minutes a side for rare to medium rare. Allow the steak to rest for 10 minutes. Cut the steak against the grain into strips and enjoy!
